Rode past jeremey paxman walking his dogs today in the chiltens. Said hi, and he grumperly said hello back.
Ever met anyone famous when out biking?
Melinda messenger sat by me in starbucks in paddington last week. No bikes involved though 🙁

Met the Earl of Wessex, whilst getting lost in swinley forest 😀
The late Pete Postlethwaite just off the Long Mynd.
Saw Paxman about 3 yrs ago on the track between Turville Park Farm and Whitepond Farm and said hi / excuse me and then saw him at almost exactly the same spot a few weeks ago and I only go to the Chilterns about 3x a year. Must live nearby and makes sense as is v posh and dead handy for White City or Portland Place where he works. I really love Newsnight so would love to caht with him but guess its not what he wants!
Rob Plant in the pub after a ride, Roy Wood and John Bonham both at MX meetings.
Pete Postlethwaite lived just outside Stretton.
Used to see Steve Leonard (Vets School) all the time.
Apparently Clapton drove his Ferrari into the car park of the Hurtwood Inn Hotel while I was chilling at the bus stop but I missed it all.
Jordon whilst riding through brighton, about 6 years ago mind!
Nearly ran over David Blunkett near Chatsworth in Derbyshire
I bumped into Sheldon Attwood at ssec2011 and he acknowledged me too 😆
was just about to reply that I saw Paxman today!!!
Blunkett not see you coming?
Spotted Greg Davies (Tall comedian from the Inbetweeners) in Barnes the other day on a pub ride.
Does Mike Edwards, of Jesus Jones fame, count?
A few years ago, Louise Redknap walking a Bulldog in Delamere.
Saw Nicholas Crane in Totnes on my commute last Monday.
I thought that he looked rather gormless, although the karma came back to bite my ass, as I was made redundant later that day.
Nick's fault.
Steve pete at Wharncliffe. He was faster than me.
I saw Samuri a couple of weeks ago riding on the road. I was going to call him a **** but bottled it at the last minute.
Used to see Steve Leonard (Vets School) all the time
One of the few men I'd leave my husband for. Hubba.
Was in a curry house in Sparkhill Birmingham years ago waiting for takeout when in walks Missy Giove and some of the guys from MBUK! Apparently they had hired out the top half of the restaurant. It was when one of the bike shows was on at the NEC.
Saw the staff of a well known mountain bike mag out and about, gave the young lady my address and bank details and she sends me a magazine every 2 months.
Sheck coincidence 😉
nicolas vouilloz, fabien barel, karim amour and alain dubas.

Hasn't Paxman got an increadibly BIG head - like a horse. Bumped into him after riding to work - Granada TV years ago.

I literally bumped into Dan Snow while he was filming at the local castle.
Steve Webb MP
I was in the CwmCarn car park and the whole of the Animal trials team turned up (Martyn Ashton 'n' all).
Does having lunch at the table next to Darcy Turenne in the GLC at the bottom of Whistler bike park count?
How about being overtaken by Andrew Shandro in the aforementioned Bike Park?
Andy Carrol (about a month ago) Martin Clunes (about a year ago) and Steve Coogan (about 5 years ago)
I saw Jon Snow ON a bike. In that there London.
Does that count?

My Dad was in the film Lawrence of Arabia 🙂
I've seen a couple of MBR journos riding around Surrey Hills before.
Kevin from Corrie driving through Altrincham a couple of weeks ago, coming back from a road ride.
Oh, and the Queen, driving towards Kingston. That was a road ride too.
Do I win a medal for that?
Many folk off here have met me on bike rides. 🙂
And I live in That London's Famous London, so many famous people have seen me out on my bike.
The only media figure I have seen actually on a bike themselves was Sophie Raworth off the news. She looked really lovely I have to say, nicer than on the telly. And she smiled at me although it might have been a grimace or maybe she was constipated I don't know. I was happy.
I sold a bike to Human rights Campaigner Peter Tatchell once.
Ewan McGregor in Pitlochry about 6 years ago...
Er, that's all.
was commuting about a month ago and saw Tony Robinson pushing a sword through a victim's chest on Cable Street, East London. Shouted out 'orrigght Toneee' and he nodded sheepishly.
Monday night on the commute again and I saw Hardeep Singh being filmed in Narrow Street, again in East London. Couldn't remember his name so I didn't say anything...
Michael Schumacher was staying on a Loch Ness campsite in 1996 when I stopped over on cycle tour. Saw Billy Connelly strolling on North Down Coastal path as I blezzed past. Saw Sir Patrick Mayhew (Tory cabinet member) with family and minders at Fofanny dam in the Mournes.
Wouldn't talk to anyone 'famous' when I cross them, why would you. I don't like strangers talking to me, they must have a lot of them to deal with.

In the same way I'd talk to "anyone". It's interesting to talk to people, and sometimes it's polite to do so as well!
MTB-Idle; Sir Ian McKellen gave me a right dirty look in Narrow Street once. 😀

Pends on the situation dunnit? I'm not bothered at all by 'celebrity', but I'll chat to anyone. Had a chat with some bloke outside a nightclub in Amsterdam once, offered him a toke on me spliff, turns out he was one of Cypress Hill. Asked some bloke for directions in Richmond Park once, rode of thinking 'where have I seen him before?', turns out it was actor John Hannah. Actor Josie Lawrence was sitting at the next table to me and me mum, with some of here friends, my mum starts chatting to her without a clue who she was (she ain't got a telly, has she?). She was very nice. One of her friends was a mardy-faced cah though.
a couple of years ago, we took Faisal Islam (channel 4 news' economics correspondent) to lee quarry. it was quite funny, first time he'd been on a bike in about 12 years! he was at school with a mate of mine and had been home at his parents' house for that weekend...
i quite often see damon gough (aka badly drawn boy) whilst riding in binners' playground, the mersey valley/chorlton water park type area.
