Looking for a tour of about 4 days between 40-70km per day for may half term, prefer scotland but open to other suggestions. Probably stay air bnb if we can. Happy to stay in some place 2 nights and do a day ride or something else on the extra days.

Mull? I love riding on Mull but others disagree. Ferries to add to the adventure. visit to Iona if you want. Sea eagles and Otters to see. Lovely single track roads to ride on
Road or off-road?
Road - One idea to break things up would be an inner Hebrides jaunt - Glasgow - train - Arran, Islay, Jura, Mull, FtWilliam - train to Glasgow. There's various extra sections to do such as Tayvallich, Lying, Seil, Iona...
We cycled Newcastle to Edinburgh up the coast to Berwick then along tweed valley and then over the hills at Innerleithen to Edinburgh. We had a night on Holy island which was cool. Got train back to Newcastle.
