Im so angry and frustrated with the world and i can no longer use social media to abuse immigrants, women, fat people or gingers that i'll have a go at cyclists.

He hides behind anomnimity and is looking for an administrator for his page I sniff an opportunity for a double agent.
some of the comments on the posts make for funny reading in a sorta incredulous 'I can't believe some of these people exist' kinda way.
Life is just too much for some people to cope with.
It is the worst kind of ill informed "us and them" nonsense. But rather depressingly, if you ran through it and replaced the word "cyclist" with "driver" it would look quite a lot like this forum. Just less arguing over wheel size. 😉

If any of the members are discovered to be be in this group after being in a RTA involving cyclists then it's not going to look too good in court is it?
Take the positives. The world is full of idiots. If some of those idiots hate you, enough to get themselves all worked up about you, then I'd take that as validation that you're doing something right. You've won, really 😀

Or maybe it actually is a police operation, in which case leave them alone.
The great thing about that kind of site is it makes it easy to identify people of a certain persuasion.

I'm tempted to set up a Facebook page called "God I ****king hate people, who can't spell, using the internet"
You could set up your own opposing FB group and pepper their comments with cross links...
Fight fire with fire, they seem to like just posting amusing pictures of cyclists in some sort of distress, mid-accident or shonky cycling infrastructure, I bet you could find some similar images of motorists in the middle of bending their tin boxes, Drinking/texting/****ing while driving or generally being bad at operating a car...

Well I've just forwarded this thread and the link to the FB page to the media team at British Cycling, CTC and Carlton Reid and asked them to make a public fuss about it...
On the one hand anyone who starts or joins a page like this clearly has bigger issues in their lives than cyclists and giving them the oxygen of publicity may or may not be helpful... but it is pure hate speech and it only takes one of them to lose all perspective and take the sentiment too far when they're out driving and we have another dead cyclist.
I like the bus driver quotes, he sounds amazing.
I reported it, but got a message back saying it doesn't violate community standards. So I'll give it a couple weeks before somebody real and sane looks at it, then if it's still up, adios facebook. Sure they'll be gutted, but it violates my standards.
