Anyone use them?

I'm in increasing discomfort with an internal inflammation just under one of my sit bones and my previous saddles are increasingly unusable. I'm either going to have to start cutting recesses out of them, or have thought I'd try one of these. Any experience - or better, would anyone lend me one for a ride or two to see if the 'airsprung' claims make a difference?

Fabric do apparently have a trial policy but only to then swap for another model from their range.

Just reading issue 108 of the mag (I'm a bit behind), they review the fabric line elite, presume this is the same principle? They suggest that the cut out doesn't add anything that they could tell. Decent enough saddles though by all accounts.

My review of the cell is on the site. It's quite spongy, but not sofa soft. Never bothered my sit bones, but on really long rides it wasn't the right shape for other...body parts.

Interesting review, thanks Hannah. I really enjoyed reading about your grazes 😯

It's a tricky one, because i'm also an afficionado of the central cut out having in the past suffered from numbness of the fella, and it took me quite a while to eventually end up finding wider (155mm) Spesh saddles gave both sit bone support (I am of the 'wide load' persuasion on the arse-o-meter thing) and a decent cut out.

But this inflammation is about the size of maybe half a grape and it's right under a sit bone so it's like sitting on a pebble on one side of the saddle currently, and after about an hour or two that goes from just being there to being really quite sore. Long before wee jonny starts to complain.

I wonder why Fabric don't do a saddle that combines both?

Cant you get a wide, well padded cheaper saddle and cut out a hole as a temporary measure, sure I've read before of long distance cyclist doing it ( sure I have read that Marc Beaumont did it but could be wrong). Also be interested in reviews of the cell. I've got wide sit bones but also a bit of a perineum problem and although the cell looks ideal saddles with no cut out tend to aggrevate.
