It's the four4ths scorch I've replaced the diablo with. Significantly lower on the helmet and more importantly the front is further forward so less likely to catch things. It's also more powerful, smaller and has a longer runtime. I'm considering using the running head mount for it to have the battery on the back of the helmet. On my (bluegrass) helmet the head part would then be completely hidden in the middle vent.

Interestingly it also fits in the exposure mount.

Thanks @nixie it’s not a massive issue just thought it would be nice.

Just an update - I used my new Maxx D mk13 last night for the first time and compared to my bikehut 1600
It was like having a mini sun on the handlebars. Combined with the Moon Vortex Pro it was ace. Just left it on the highest power reflex setting and it lasted plenty of time and genuinely did seem to work with dimming down the power sat still and then brightening as you got going.

Going to get an Axis for my helmet for my 40th so that’ll add another 500 lumens to the helmet light power on full beam - I probably wouldn’t bother but I was asked what I wanted for the b/day!

Update: Loving the Maxx D mk12 on the bars, so much light, the diablo is excellent except for the tap feature to change brightness settings, I start a trail with it on full and end up at the bottom with it a setting or two lower! not sure how its happening so am going to up the sensitivity for the setting or turn it off!

I'd never buy anything other than Exposure lights. My first Diablo went through the washing machine and still worked perfectly (until I lost it!!)

I've got a 4fourth scorch. Got it cheap at a bike show a couple of years ago. I find it's more of a flood than a spot but runtimes are good. I do find it unbalances the helmet a bit as all the weight is at the front.

when it comes to lights 95% of people should just save the time and effort and get exposure to start with. maybe its a journey you need to go on but like others I've tried all types of lights and ended up with exposure. they are just ace.
