[#12014535]

So I have lost the top part of the helmet mount for my exposure joystick.

How much, £22. For a crappy bit of plastic.

Are there alternative and possibly better options?

I use a gopro mount. The sticky stays on my helmet all year. All I have to do is clip
On the exposure mount and it’s go! No messing around moving mips or pads out the way to screw that mickey exposure mount in 👌

Go to an event exposure sponsor and they'll give you a new one if your racing.

Had a new bar mount (10 year old one rusted and snapped) and replaced there and then. Lost the helmet mount strap and was given a replacement.

Top notch service and riders.

I use Light and Motion helmet mount.
Attaches with Velcro and you don't look like
a Teletubby when the light is not fitted during daylight hours.
Tredz have them at £7.99

I use a gopro mount.

Just switched to this too, as leave the mount on most of the year. Super-easy and also saves faffing around MIPS liners and padding. Feels marginally more secure than the Exposure standard mount, and slightly lower profile too.

Another GoPro mount user, My Rex Kask has a go pro slot which made it easier to do.

OP, have you looked on eBay for people selling second hand sets, I've seen sets before which have multiple mounts included, could be worth a DM to one of them to see if they'd consider selling separately.

Thx - will keep an eye out on ebay. not super urgent so I will keep looking.

What I did see on ebay was a stem mount for a main light. Now that would solve another problem as the standard mount does not fit nicely with my Jones bars when bike packing.

Thx all.
