The time has come to insure my bikes. I've got home insurance with the Post Orrifice but not sure this is the best way to go. Would bike specific insurance be better? Has anyone had to make a claim on a bike with the Post Office, were they reasonable or give you a Halfrods voucher? I don't want a Halfrods voucher.

You'll probably find that the insurance is underwritten by one of the big insurance firms & sold with the POs name on it.

is it anywhere near as bad as the insurance you pay for on parcels? Took 9 months of chaseing, sending, re-sending, phoning, e-mailing to finly get them to cough up. At which point they graciously "rounded the ammount upto £100" great, you pissed me about for 9 months and i get £1.50 out of it.
