4 years ago I spent the limit of £1000 on a Cube Peleton Race via my company's C2W scheme. It has full Shimano 105 groupset & Mavic Askium wheels. I've been riding it a lot since lockdown & enjoying road cycling again.
I can spend up to £1000 on a new bike or components/tools/safety gear in this year's C2W. I can't buy frames, GPS, cameras, turbo trainers but can buy wheels, tools, clothing.
What should I go for that would improve existing bike - new wheelset perhaps? Been following the recent threads on road wheels but don't think scheme will allow me to go for online sellers like Hunt, just Tredz. For rim brakes they have Mavic Kyserium Pro UST. That would be an expensive upgrade but worth it over the Askiums? Or something else?

Best upgrade I made to my road bike was wheels. Got some carbon 40mm ish deep wheels (zipp303). Not super light but stiff and ride quality is lovely. Makes the alloy rims my bike came with feel so noodly and soft.

I’ve just completed a c2w cycle and looking to upgrade to force ETAP AXS. A cheeky upgrade which I’d never justify or contemplate without c2w, but also enables me to move my current 105 group set to upgrade a second bike.

And just for the record the bike is used several times a week so no garage queen.
