Sun is out, shorts going on. I therefore need to get some exciting MTB socks that clearly identify me as a mtber. Fox, Five Ten, M&S?
What is STW foot glove of choice?

I took a chance on a 3 pack of Alpkit socks . At £12 I wasn't expecting much , they've turned out to be great , super comfy 👍

Isobaa merino from Sport Pursuit. My 3 pack cycling ones are still going strong 5-6 years on. Just bought another 3 pack so I’m good until 2030, probably.

Really like my Alpinestars socks. The best socks for MTB have a much more defined 'shape' than generic sports/trainer socks - thicker material, more substantial and elasticy.

Scott socks are really nice too, loads of Scott clothing is heavily discounted currently everywhere too.

Another vote for Stance. Usually bought when on offer from Sports Pursuit. Last lot were the bags of 3

Those Fox camo ones are only suitable for the skinny of ankle. ie. not people on blood pressure medication 😆

I like my free MBR mag ones, cos the elastic has gone. apart from those, it's DeFeet for me.

For a thicker sock I really like my Danish Endurance, wear them every day for work as well. Lasting well. I think it's the isobaa cycling socks that look like save our sole socks that I got years ago from On-One, they were brilliant summer socks and lasted a long time for thinner socks. Not long enough to be trendy.

One other thing. My daughter wears those grip socks that are popular with footballers. I'm wondering if they might be good if you wear flat pedals shoes.

Defeet Aireator are great summer socks, but not cheap.

Planet X were my go-to for cheaper (still really good) synthetic socks, but they seem to have a really limited selection now.

Those popular invisible shoe socks make my ankles flinch just thinking of the scrapes I'd encounter mid-ride. My arms and legs are still sore from my ride last night, I'm missing my long sleeves and tights.

I had the same quandary , I ended up with 50 to 1 socks in diff colours and animal prints.

Even though I don't ride like any of the people  supported by the brand, I like its a MTB brand how they had the line at Revs too so thought why not.

That Banana site is the guy who used to run PX, yeah?

The socks look similar to the nice ones PX used to do, that I was talking about above.

Rule 28 for all the gains. https://www.rule28.com/en-de/products/aero-socks

They're actually decent socks, but they may not survive first contact with thorns.
