Yesterday a couple of my friends rode just over the height of Everest in one day on a bike; 8,871m, 302km and 23 1/3 laps of Hartside in 18:09 hours. They were doing it to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and what a great day for a great cause. Just thought I'd share that with you if you're fed up of bank holiday adverts for sales about things you don't need and fancy donating to something much more worthwhile.
