Hmmm?
Just read a Rapha article about the LR and it reminded me of mine.

A5 Rangers Road Race - Towcester 2/3 cat.

I was having a fine race and our team of five were all still together, and stood a good chance of getting a man into the top three. We were having a tussle with a Milton Keynes based squad all race long. Then on the last lap we got the upper hand. And as I and another team rider eased off a Milton Keynes rider just bailed right in front of us, he stopped so suddenly it cut us off from the race. It only took seconds but the remaining feild just shot past.
The two of us put our heads down and tried hopelessly to get back, all the other straglers had bailed, it was the bunch and us two.
I crossed the line last and got a cash prize for being the Lanterne Rouge.
Anyone else been there, or do you just slope off ๐Ÿ˜‰

no you cant really go for it if you have no chance of catching up and you psychologically just fold/give up ....so I am told anyway.

Well it's really an award for tenacity. Going home having your tea then coming back to finish doesn't really count.
