Is there and difference between Eskar and Eskar-2 tyres apart from the printing on the side wall.

Yep, I saw them side by side in Evans yesterday and they seem to have a different tread pattern. Didn't really pay any more attention than that I'm afraid
Nope, tread is the same, i have a pair in front of me now. i was just unsure if there was someting i didnt know that would make one better for the front or rear.
There are two versions of eskars, the original were improved with better side knobs, the originals weren't 100% into corners.
I'm fairly sure that the main difference is that it went from a 2.4 to a narrow 2.35" width.
Is it the 2 bliss version?
There are the expensive s-works ones but its the cheap ones i run, All the Eskars are 2-bliss, if there is a difference its not a visual one it must be in te construction or something. Anyway i put the newer "2" on the front. I ran the older type all winter on my old bike and they performed very well, there 2.3's
