Just wondering what recommendations people might have for some flat top road bar. Budget is about £60 so will probably have to be aluminium.

I have a svelte 38cm shoulder width, long legs, short arms compared to my height (6foit 3) and not the most flexible at the waist so have struggled to get to the bottom of my 44cm bars.

Thanks

Specialized Expert Alloy Shallow Bend Handlebars

I love mine. Short reach, small drop, oval top, and so much phatness.

They look great and I can get the 'womens' bars for £35. £5 cheaper than men's...

Not sure what the difference is compared to the mens, the website only specifices that they come in narrower sizes.

Dimensions other than reach seem the same. Don't really see the point in specifying a gender.

Got some off eBay for £20. Can cheaply see if dropping size and having a compact reach fits better.

Put the 38cm Specialized Expert Alloy Shallow Bend Handlebars on this morning.

The size change feels so good compared with the 46cm I had on before (just left them on after buying second hand years ago)

I can actually comfortably use the drops without feeling like i'm reaching out into the unknown.

Interestingly i'm holding the shifter hoods a lot more now instead of switch to the center bar.
