What the hell did you put on that to push it over 35lbs? Lead?
I was going to ask the same. Had mine in original spec blown from underneath me before now. Can't imagine it ever getting close to the weight of my patriot 7+ (no pics i'm afraid)
No sweat Rustydub, I wanted to see the photos and that was as quick a way as any. Nice van btw!
Heavy bike.

Even heavier bike. Getting it up here was not pleasant.

what's going on with the drive train on that thing? shaft drive?
You bet. Keeps it going through the tough conditions on the estate. Adds a few pounds though.
LOL @ glenh - bet it weighs well in excess of 35lbs too ๐
Ewan, great picture.
Cheers. I considered 'dropping it to flat'. But then thought better of it.
Mama your gonna smash through the +35lb barrier if you go for either of those two i weighed for you!
Just finished my 'temp' dh bike for France this year as im still sat waiting (and will be for sometime!) for my new DHR. Will be forsale as of 13/7 when i get back so if anyone likes it...!
38.6lb as pictured.. do i score extra points for white wheels and forks? ๐
Not too worried about the weight Luke - my current 'lightweight' bike is just over the 30 mark so a bit more won't make much difference ๐ . Horse looks good! Enjoy France!
Be interested to know who has the heaviest bike.
Anyone got a BMW racelink? I'm sure they would be over 40lbs.
A bit more maybe not but 33% more!
Im back 13th ish so if you do decide to go for either wait til after then and ill look after you :o)
heaviest bike ive ever ridden was a 62lb Norco A-line :O
v10 what drivetrain has that got?
The Brooky or the Sunday?
Im back 13th ish so if you do decide to go for either wait til after then and ill look after you :o)
Cheers ๐
62lb!!!! Reckon my heaviest was a mere 37lbish '04 Stinky as stock . . . ended up around 32-33 by the time I'd given it the jeycore-lite treatment.
with lighter tyres it was around the 39/40lb. great fun on it at innerleithen. set a p.b. on it at cwmcarn. oh, these are the xc trails i'm talking about and the p.b. i beat was done on a on-one 456?!? also been to glentress, afan, coed-y-brenin, golspie, fort william world champ course, laggan, learnie red rock amongst other xc trails.
the latest incarnation of it (after tiny cracks were spotted on the frame) is dh only with heavy tyres and tubes, heading single ring too soon. I'm afraid the new trail centre bike is a measly 28lb 2007 trance. least i know i can MTFU when the time calls for it.
first pic is current incarnation, second was the original one at the top of glentress.

Dont know how much this weighs, but once I've put some fatter tires on I reckon it will be not too far off 35lbs.
My mate had an oldish Kona Stab deluxe with the newer heavier monster T's, Sun double tracks and full diabolous finishing kit. That was the heaviest bike ive ridden, I reckon about 55lb easy
Is that your Brooklyn V10?
The best looking DH bike in my opinion.
