Really enjoyed the event, some mental trails to ride down at full chat.. Atmosphere was brill too.
Well done everyone who made it to the end and survived the storm on day 1.
That storm was incredible. We'd just cycled back from stage 2, and I was thinking how lucky we were with the weather! Saw some very dark clouds whilst at train, and in the time my mate took a dump, it had changed from sun to full on storm! Some chap came back later who was on s2 at the time. A tree fell and broke his bars and injured his arm! very close!
He was staying in our chalet... Very lucky escape !!! Didn't slow home down much as he came banging past me on stage 5 (Jackson trail)
