So i'm expecting a 2007 sl frame soon without a shock, looking at fitting it with a fox Van '10 - I've got the eye to eye and the stroke length sorted, but the question being can I just bolt it straight onto the frame or did the specialized stock shock have a different bolt diameter / spacing?

Has anyone had any experience of swapping out the shock, am I going to need any spacers / bushings etc? Any other useful info would be much appreciated!

Thanks

I'm also thinking of fitting a Van R to my Enduro SL. Can't answer your question directly but if you're buying the shock new you could order from TFTuned and they'll supply it with all the fittings and the correct spring.

Will be very interested to hear how you get on with the Van.

The shock bushes are internally different between the AFR and Fox, as such you will need the required hardware to go with the Fox. These are readily available from Fox / TFT.

TFT Shows you how to sort it here (even uses an Enduro as an example):-
