[#3180714]

hi a mate and I are thinking about taking part in an enduro event, we would like to start off with a fun race to get the feel of enduro first.
Does anyone know of any fun enduro events in the north west of england?

Not quite North West but i'd recommend the winter Enduro run by Innerleithen MTB. There'll be another this winter and it's a well run intro to this sort of event.

There's basically 2 different things people call enduros in the UK so be careful you get what you want- there's misnamed endurance XC races, like the Coed y Brenin one, the Dyfi etc. Nothing wrong with those.

But then there's actual enduros, which aren't very common, with timed descent stages rather than long laps of timed climbing and descending Fantastic format, usually a lot more focused on technicality though obviously fitness plays a part too (I end every stage a broken man). You could call it a halfway house between XC and downhill, but for me it's just proper, top quality everyday riding but in a race format.

If you want to do a proper enduro, listen to Latiric ๐Ÿ˜‰ I can't make it and I'm absolutely gutted. The last 2 were ridiculously good events.
