[#4183126]

I seem to remember some threads on here about the sizing of these being a bit strange?

I normally take 34" waist in pretty much everything. Their sizing chart says this would be a medium but I'm sure I've heard that this will not be the case.

Anyone any first hand experience?

They come up small - I'm normally a 31-32" waist but have a large and find them quite tight. A large Altura falls off me!

Yep, go up a size!

34" waist here, usually take a medium but even the large are a snug fit.

Guessing that XL may be worth a punt then?

Yep. Up a size as others have said. Although if you have big thighs it maybe up 2. Might be just me. Their XXL fits me perfectly, but then I'm extra lanky and extra fat.

I'd go up 2 sizes - if I was buying more of probably go XL for a 32" waist.

Why not go to a lbs, try some on and buy them?

Definitely go up a size - I'm a 34" waist, can ride in medium Altura shorts, large Enduras are uncomfortably tight for me.

My "lbs" doesn't stock anything remotely relevant. In fact my nearest decent LBS doesn't stock a lot of MTB clothing. If I could, I would.

Strangely, not shorts but the Humvee jersey, I had to go down a size, usually a medium but had to get small. Best to try things if possible.
