as an off shoot of the "can you wheelie?" thread, what exactly is manualing? surely its just a wheelie? no?

Where as wheelying (beyond a pedal stroke or 2) is just showboating ๐Ÿ™‚ manualling is actually useful when doing proper riding and looks cool as...

If you transfer your weight assertively enough, and drive your feet forward in the right way, you can lever the front of the bike up and hold it there. As said, very useful - pop off step downs, lift the wheel over logs, first half of a bunny hop etc. No real need to hold it on the balance point for ever, although that does look cool.
