New to me, secondhand SLX front mech shifter. Currently acts as a "double" - is there an adjustment to turn it into a triple? How do I change the inner cable? I think I need to release the shifter one more click (ie double to triple) to be able to push the nipple out of the hole - but cant see how. What do I need to do?
There's a big slidey thing on the bottom side of the shifter, it's really obvious which makes me think you've got a double specific one. Have you still got tension on the cable when you're clicking down? It'll appear when you get to the lowest gear so something is preventing it doing this by the sounds of it.

Have found the flippidty-switch underneath now.
Just in to pick up a headtorch to try and see better what IM doing
