Just chatted to a fella on one of these

He was 440km into a 600Km Audax and trying to avoid going over the fell roads to reach Seascale.
Reckons he was last.

Looks like an answer for a problem that doesn't exist...

Still, think of the money you'd save on saddles. ๐Ÿ™‚

But a brilliant effort by that rider.

saw one on the last Audax i did as well, they are not fast things, theres a guy called Idai who is big into these as well, has a Facebook group and is doing PBP

im not sure what the point of them is, especially for huge distances, just because you can doesn't mean you always should

Seen a couple on the local lanes and they look like fun. Yet to see one off road yet.

Faster than running, slowing than cycling I guess. Not much chance of back or neck ache with this one!

Unless the problem is massive haemorrhoids.

Mary Decker (now Slayney?, she of Zola Budd and being juiced up fame) is apparently well into them. Long term effects of being a career runner have left her unable to do much running (impact damage I guess) and she sees this as the next best thing.

There's some regular Audaxers that have been using these for years now. Cover some big distances. I dare say there will be some at Paris-Brest-Paris. Never actually seen one in the flesh myself.

I saw that bike and thought if you make it more aero by going into a prone position...
