The old man is getting old 🙁 and is beginning to feel the effects of long off road rides.
What is the latest SP on electric MTB's.
He has been looking at these so far:

Anyone here ride an electric MTB or can recommend 🙂
PS His current rig is a Spesh Stumpy FSR Carbon thing.
i rode a ebike for 2yrs through illness.
the one pictured is ideal, the bosch system is fantastic for offroading. it will get someone with not a lot of fitness up some pretty steep stuff.
i had a full suspension haibike fiied with the same system. it was fantastic offroad.
i also ran a khalkoff for a year, more of a touring bike tho. good for 60 miles with some rider input.
I have a Kalkhof that uses this same system...its amazing!
The power and the way its delivered is perfect and its replaced a lot of car journeys for me.
So in short buy it!
Its the best system on the market at the moment.
