Looking to try some new trail riding elbow pads. I've got some of the troy Lee slip on elbows which are great when they stay in place.

Whats everyone finding works for them? Ideally lightweight with a strap to hold them in place

Troy Lee slip on ones are my choice. I've got fairly big arms but I still need the small/medium size. I bought the large but I can only assume they were intended solely for The Rock!

I like them but when going on uplift days and rougher trails I find the come down too easily.

Been looking at the Scott Rockets or Scott grenades.

Sod it - bought some Scott Grenades (purchased courtesy of far too much ale in the sun)

My brother bought the Troy Lee ones and the mediums were too small, he couldn't get them on. However, the large are slightly too big and slip.

Yeah, Troy lees are fine when you are warmed up - but so many times I'll be going down a run with them on my wrists.
