Anyone got one now they have started hitting the shops ??
Thinking about getting one and now they use OS mapping it looks as if it ticks all the boxes for road/off road use as well as when I am walking in the in the Peaks with the dog
Just the small matter of the £350+ to find

Planning to wait myself for a couple of months to see if any issues emerge (and also assuming Garmin will need to update the firmware several times). Only reason I want to switch from my 705 is the OS mapping so want to see one in the flesh to to see if it's worthwhile.
Will you have to buy the OS maps from Garmin or will any OS maps work on the unit ??
Garmin OS mapping AFAIK
I think you can use "Custom maps" which potentially means you can use free software like "mobile atlas creator" to create free downloadable OS maps and copy them across.
