With the garmin Edge 705 how do you find the setting so you can get a grid reference for checking on a map? I dont mean the long/lat..?

I dont think you can? someone said you can get long/lat but ive not found that on mine either.

Nothing mentioned on the update page at the Garmin website.

Can't you just click on the map with the pointer - pretty sure that on my 605 it then shows the grid ref (and allows you to save it as a marker)

settings > units > position format > British Grid

gives a 10 figure grid on the map

don't quite get you.

on the map screen if you move the pointer it brings up a bit at the top giving BNG, distance/bearing from you and map info (road name etc)

don't think which maps you have matters, I have City Nav europe and outside BNG area it just shows -------
