Hi all.
Fitting a new set of wheels to my Whyte E bike and it takes a different wheel sensor compared to the original wheel set.
I'm not sure of the correct orientation of the new wheel sensor when fitted to the disc.
I've asked on the Whyte ebike page and got conflicting views
Should it be like pic 1 or pic 1.

Many thanks.
Any reason it needs a different sensor.
When we swap our wheels over we just move the sensor to the new wheel.

Hi Tracey
The old wheels are Shimano centrelock and the new wheels are crank brothers 6 bolt so I've had to buy new new discs too.
Makes sense then.
I don't know the actual answer, but as it's just 2 rotor bolts to mount it, just go for it and swap it round if it doesn't work. Personally I'd go flatest side against the disk flange first.
Same sensor, on the centrelocks you have the magnet as part of the rotor, on 6 bolt it's one of the spacers as per your picture, as long as they align with the sensor (which they will), then all's good
That sensor is positioned exactly like this one, so if it's the same orientation as your original, it'll work

Poss top tip,
Early on, try , GENTLY, turning the wheel when properly fitted and watching for interference with frame.
Ie I had to bash my winter wheels hope hubs bolt on disc magnet so that the magnet cleared the frame.
My Whyte ebike sensor came from shop fitted as pic 1
