Mrs B decided to take the plunge and purchased a Wilier 803 Enduro from Merlin (at a lower price than currently advertised...) It is completely over the top for her requirements, but the spec for the price was fantastic.

So...we headed out on Sunday. A great result!

Got Mrs B out and on trails she would not have tackled on a normal bike. The benefits of pedal assist, 160mm travel and a dropper post were obvious.

Made me work for my cake...

All in all, the smile on Mrs B's face was fantastic.

She was out again yesterday too.

Mrs B is taller than I am, but her bike just fits me 😉

Hang on, there's talk of a new bike here but no picture.

What's up with that?

Fantastic aren’t they?
The Mrs has knackered knees and despite being pretty for couldn’t manage more that about 10 miles before being unable to walk, let alone ride. She’s by crying in pain for days. She just can’t cope with putting any significant load through them so climbs are an absolute mare.
We bought her an Orbea again gravel bike just before Christmas and it’s been a revelation.
Now happily doing 30 plus miles with average 100ft elevation gain per mile, with minimal pain in her knees. It’s literally given her her (cycling) life back.
