So last week whilst looking for a jump bike I messaged someone not to far from me, asking their best price seeing as I was 15 mins away and could pay cash straightaway

In the meantime time I've bought one but have just received a counteroffer for £1 it's obviously a mistake (or maybe not and he's being charitable).

If I was to be a dickhead could I force the sale through?*

*This is purely hypothetical as I'm not that much of a ****, just interested

TBF that's how I would like to respond to most "what's your best price" clowns 😁

You can never force a sale through on eBay. If I sold something and made an error in price or just changed my mind then I simply wouldn't send it/give it to you. Worse case I get negative feedback...

Plus there's the option as a seller to cancel the sale due to incorrect listing and shit.

Try it. 👍

Could be a way to avoid the eBay fees. He sells it to you for £1 via PayPal, then you turn up and pay the difference in cash.

Worst case is that you're out a pound.
