Surly (see what I did there!) this will weaken and corrupt the frame, and you'd have to ride it like a bow legged weirdo.....???

Can't access the link here but since all fatbike riders are bow legged weirdos, I fail to see the issue ๐Ÿ˜€

Taken from the advert...

The frame is a modified Voodoo Wanga & is slightly offset to the drive with a 100mm BB in order to get clearance of the huge tyre.

That's pretty standard I thought for fatbikes?

Don't see how it would weaken the frame. Steel frame which has been modified looks like a good job. You would have to have a look at the chain stays as well. But seems to makes sense to me. Which bit of the mod are you referring to DrP?

Why oh why oh why would you do that to a Voodoo Wanga? They're a lovely frame! That's an utter travesty! He should be shot!

DrP - that seatstay configuration looks pretty much identical to a Pugsley.

The configuration is acceptable, but do surly frames come with assymmetric stays? Look wonky as hell from here in DrP's piccy.

Pugsley:

Looks far more symmetrical on the Pugsley until just above the cassette to me. Whereas the botch job looks significantly lopsided with different clearances either side of the tyre.

Just opinions and speculation without the bikes in front of us I guess.
