Hiya and good morning
Just bought a NEW tom tom from ebay,
it's arrived in a jiffy bag, all loose, not boxed and is marked, ok only slighlty but it's still marked.
The worrying and annoying bit is, that it comes up with a 'this device belongs to' screen with a part of address, along with a home destination, and a load of previous destinations, which makes me think it may be stolen, as the this device belongs to bit isn't something i've seen before.
I've had bother getting the thing, and I've tried mailing him before now, with no results
so what to do?
London's too far to start arsing about with paying a visit

oh, and the cheeky ****er's gave me a motorola charger lead that doesn't even fit!
How can I find who lives at an address?
So I guess the "this belongs to" details don't match the seller's details?
Electoral register? Us info from that available to the public at all?
Write them a letter asking "has your tom-tom been stolen?"
How do I find the sellers address?
There might be a few details on the item page - on the RHS there should be 'item info' including 'item location'
you might be able to dig more info out of their paypal address?
can't you raise a complaint through ebay or pay pal (if you used pay pal ?)
Done the complaint already. Bastard.
Aparently it doesn't actually have to be new to be classed as new, and the wrong charger still works innit!
Guideline for describing an item's condition as "new"
An item can be listed as new if it's unused, fully functional and has no signs of damage or wear.
Handily that's ebays view on what new means.

Clearly it is used if it has addresses programmed into it.
You would think that it was clear enough.
to find sellers address advanced search top of screen then next screen left hand side find contact details , this could even give you a contact phone number , hope this helps
Just a quick update, I've been refunded my money. Woot!
But Moz still got da dollaz
