[#4022300]

I've just been trawling for 29er frames and I can't believe how many of these cheap Chinese carbon 29ers are being advertised. I've yet to see one "in the flesh", so are people actually buying these?

Saw a few in the flesh the other night, look very nice.
I was going to buy one off a buy on here, themilkybarkid I think his name on here is. Nice guy. I ended up buying his onone carbon race frame instead.
But he has one of the chinese 29ers at the moment in size large. Looks like a bargain for 230 or whatever they are.

It's not what I was looking for. I'm just surprised at how many there are.

in theory they should be attracting a 45% anti dumping duty though.

I'm interested too as I'm on the lookout for a light 29'er frame to replace my HX2 at some point

Have a look on alibaba. They have 29er carbons with integrated seat posts. I really like the look of those

He's right. Was good. Sold it to a friend, who enjoyed it for quite a while before breaking it (and himself) in a very unpleasant front wheel/flight of stairs interface! Top tube was a little short, so check that out before you buy, I'd definitely have another, although the price On One seem to knock out some of their frames that may be less hassle.

Ah - cheers. That's some length of thread!!!

Like I said, not what I was actually looking for. Probably too "racy" for my needs. 😛
