We're going down to the Brecon Beacons for the first time in many years soon. We hope to escape the family weekend away with a day on our own on the bikes.
Can anyone recommend some easy(ish) 35-50 miles routes suitable for a gravel or hybrid bike?
cheers

Did a nice ride earlier in the year. From the Aberglais in Pontsarn on the edge of the Beacons (nice pub, good post-ride beer, asked them nicely & they let us park in the car park all day). Straight onto the Taff Trail then followed that to Talybont. Grub at the cycle-friendly cafe (or a pint at the Star; it was closed when I visited though!) then either back the same way or take the road way back for a bit of variety (which I did, there is one pretty steep climb on the road though!). About 30 miles total IIRC, fairly hilly (approx 3000 ft) but not technical. Cracking views.
EDIT: You can extend it another 15 miles or so by cycling along the canal to Brecon & back. Dead flat, nice though & good fun waving at everyone on the narrow boats 🙂
@zilog6128 - thanks, that sounds fab especially the pub stop!!
