[Closed] Easton Vice wheel set - can you convert?

A riding mate in his drunken haste and wisdom bought some easton vice wheels on ebay last weekend. He has 9mm forks and 10mm rear drop outs. Fox and cannondale prophet.
Turns out the rear is 142mm and 10mm bolt through and front is 15mm bolt through.

He reckons that with some ingenuity and a lathe he can sort this out to fit his frame fork combo - i think its a waste of effort/time/teeth.

Can 15mm be converted to 9mm and can 142mm ever work in a 135mm drop out? I say no - what do the forum elders say?
