More often than not whilst on 50t cog the chain doesn’t engage on the teeth correctly sometimes it will , why ? Any others found this happening? means with a slight pedal backwards chain drops but doesn’t when teeth are hooked up .

Had this initially on both my XX1 11sp and then 12sp set-ups - in both cases it was it was resolved by small adjustments to the B-tension screw.  On my Eagle 12sp to resolve it I actually moved the mech just out-of-spec from what the red set-up tool guide showed was the optimum setting.

The teeth are narrow wide so you need to engage just the right combo. As mentioned b tension will normally do it.

I had the same, couldn't solve it, so I checked the mech hanger, replaced and it was all good.

My guess is that due to getting more gears in the same space the gapping is that small now that the smallest amount out and it won't line up.

Changed to a new cassette and mech after the first year and still no issue, on the original installation guide when it was first launched they did show that you check the hanger with an alignment tool prior to building up.
