Hi all, wondering if anyone else has had same problem as me. Getting e13 trs+ rims to seal tubeless? Tried setting up using a pair of superstar component valves but the stems just leaked no matter what I did.
Also the factory installed rim tape doesn't look the best with a few spoke heads part showing (although no noticeable wearing from the spokes). Going to strip it off and replace. Any recommendations?
Just replaced a spoke on one of mine, used gaffer tape the proper stuff, nothing else seems to stick to the shot piened finish.Been running like that for a while no probs before, snapped spoke.
yeah big fan of Gaffa tape - fixes anything, gorilla tape in a handy 25mm role will do the job.
Any ideas on valve stems?
I had the same with mine, traced it to a badly drilled spoke hole - had to de burr it and retaped with Stans. Even then had a slight leak cured by sloshing the sealant around.
I used the supplied e-13 valves, worked ok.although had to stick an extra 'O' ring on rear valve for a bit more bite.
Did receive to e13 ones with my rims. (Note not full wheel set - just rims). Think best thing to do is strip down, reseal the tape add new valves and take time to ensure no burrs etc. blumin fiddly if it doesn't work 1st time!
Didn't recieve - sorry
be thankfull you didn't get the hubs!!! ๐

Right on, i had 2 sets destroy themselves on me. The first cracked completely across the shell. As i noticed it right at the top of Lochnagar its fair to say i was not amused ๐
After the second hub cracked silverfish did not want to know. Luckily my LBS got in touch with E13 / The hive and they refunded me. I will not touch those hubs again.
