Currently have a top swing front mech on my full susser. Tends to clog up with mud as all the moving parts are compacted between the seat tube and rear wheel. Can't get a conventional type in due to the swingarm.
Was wondering is an E-Type BB mount mech would fit?. 73mm BB with the one plastic spacer on the drive side (external BB). Am guessing the E-Type bracket would replace the plastic spacer, or am I missing something?

It needs a bolt on the frame to stop it rotating. The force of the cup may be enough, but it's not designed to work like that.
