I'm due to take delivery of a Trek Rail early next month. From what I can gather I can ask the LBS to activate a lighting port in/on the Bosch motor so that I can then run a lead to the bars to supply a light from the 625 battery rather than having to use a separate battery pack. Any ideas about this anyone?

FWIW for lighting I'm using MagicShine Chinese specials at the moment.

A couple of mates tried the exposure one, to not much success, not sure what the issue was, I'll ask.

Edit - mate said they all had error codes when using them, so binned em.

I plugged a Supernova ebike light into a Fazua system bike (not mine) and it works well. You’d probably want a second light for mountain biking (eg a helmet light) but the bike is just a commuter bike. The best thing is that the light is always there and there is no separate battery faff.
