A friend of mine wants an affordable e-bike - that can go down towpaths etc... anyone any ideas of where she might find one - she's 5'5".... £2000 max - is this moon on a stick?

My girlfriend is loving her Carrera E Subway. Hybrid with decentish tyres that seem to go well both on and offroad. Torque sensor seems okay on it (I know **** all about ebikes) £1100 so well under budget. It weigh roughly the same as our motorhome though which is it's biggest drawback.

I think that the Boardman E-Hybrid is about 2k and is several kilos lighter.

I looked at these for mrs (there are quite a few with the low crossbar) cube reaction hybrid

Sadly most seem to be sold out, see all so lower end Haibike hard tails.

Bosch is probably best long termer (in terms of motor spares availability and people who can rebuild it),

I bought the missus an Islabike eJimi. Bit more than your budget but works very well. Very light and a proper (fully rigid) mtb.

This doesn't look bad, good Shimano motor system, no idea if it's actually any good.
