So I ran mine right down yesterday and plugged them in to charge this morning. The green light came on immediately, is the this correct - should i wait until it goes out to show full charge as I did read on another thread that a green light means fully charged?

My bad - just checked again and I didnt have the male/female connected properly! Light is now red!
