Hiya
I have an old dx "Bastid" with the Velcro battery pouch and black lamp unit which holds to the bars via a thick rubber ring.
Does anyone have tips for replacing the lamp unit cable, starting with how to crack the case open?
Also any tips on a compatible bracket for bar mounting?

Going from the thread yesterday it looks like the [url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/hope-universal-handlebar-mount/rp-prod23533 ]Hope mount[/url] is the favorite alternative mount at the moment. I've an old electron one but they are no longer made or just use the elastic band, the only other seems to be [url= http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Planet%20Bike%20Quick%20Cam%20Handlebar%20Adjustable%20Bracket ]this US one[/url] but I can't find it cheap (to the UK)
