Got mine set up like this, however the front mech cable where it curves between the linkage and the seat tube is rubbing. I dont think it will be long before it has rubbed right through the outer.
Anyone else have this problem ?
I have mine a bit lognder than shown on that picture, it loops up a bit more then I've zip-tied that loop to the seat tube, just keeps it out of the way when the suspension compresses.
You could put a large cable tie round the top tube between the taco and the seat tube with a small cable tie throughit and round the cable to pull it further back and more central while it passes throught he linkage if you don't want to re cable the shifter.
I used electricians tape as well as 'his design means alot of rub IMO (especially behind the linkage/seat/top tube front mech outer)
Yes

Toons wow. Nice shock. What size is it and how does the ride compare to a rp23?
Its 7.5x2.0" It climbs better and travel feels endless ๐
Toons, what size is that coil?
I think it's 550x2.0
By the way - you can run the rear brake line to the right side of the headtube and the rear mech line to the left of the headtube and all the way down the Downtube, then have them cross over in front of the shock on DW Turners. That's what many who use right-hand front braking do, as it enables smoother arcs for the cables.
I saw a post on MTBR where DT also recommended that as a good thing. Although if you have a coil as Toons does you may want to check that the cable/hoses have enough clearance. It's certainly no problem with air shocks.
Danny, send us a pic of your arrangement will you ?
Cheers all.
no worries, sort it at lunch - you still on phone *********60 ?
yes mate. Cheers.
