Im on for another whistle stop tour of some Scottish areas in a couple of weeks starting at Peebles a day at Inners the travelling up to Callander to ride Ben Ledi and onwards to either Laggan or Aviemore to try Ben Macdui . I think ive got these routes sorted. On the way back down im staying in Stirling and have a few hours spare so really want a ride up Dumyat I remember seeing it on a Mojo Diaries vid a few years back with Joe Barnes Peaty and Guy Martin and always thought that looked a good trail. So to that end has anyone got a good gpx or a route round there please ?

Don't do the tourist route back down. Boring!

(To clarify - Since MojoDiaries, from the top fence down has been sanitised by SPEN/MacGowans. Summit to top fence is worth doing but muggles can be a pain if busy).

Try this variation.

Alternatively:

Colsnaur is a lovely ride, with views down onto Dumyat.

You know the speed he goes into Jo's is just insane, reckon my line out is better though;)

To the op, when are you up? Several locals on here (as you can tell) and a guide would really help....

Please do message if you're in the area - happy to show around if I am available.

Payment can be made in beer at the BofA brewery tucked behind the old Queens Hotel / opposite the Allanwater cafe.ย  https://allanwaterbrewhouse.co.uk/ ย  (special deals for mountain bikers, just ask for Douglas)

Colsnaur - just make sure you descend towards Dumyat rather than following the fence down. It's almost as if the ancient art of following a gpx has been lost by the modern generation (a dig at those I shall not name).
