Long time member, but haven't posted in a few years, fatherhood has somehow intervened...

Help, I've only gone and knackered the rear shock on my 2003 Sub 5 five days before heading to Glentress for the weekend.

The air valve is pissing air out at an alarming rate, if it was an innertube I'd bin it. The way I see it at the moment I've only got one way of having the bike ready for Friday and that is to buy a discounted rear shock off CRC, not enough time to send off to Mojo for a service.

So, what length, better still recommend me a cheap rear shock, less than £150, that I can fit and forget to my aging bike to save my annual weekend away with the bike...

Oh I'm looking at the Fox rear shocks on CRC...

where is the air valve leaking from? - it might just have grit in the plunger. Depressurise, and remove the valve give it a sluice though.

It its leaking around the thread where it screws into the body, try either tightening it up, or some PTFE tape on the threads.

Its 190mm x50/51mm by the way.

Thanks chaps, the air is coming out of the valve, no grit I've cleaned it out since the problem arose.

I'll have another fettle, got some ptfe tape handy so good call on that!

And I'll remember to look on the Orange website next time...
