About to change my wheels and as a result go from centrelock to 6 bolt. As i have had c/lock rotors more or less since i got into MTB'ing, i was a late bloomer, i have one very stupid question:
Am i better off sticking to Shimano rotors with my shimano mounts and xt calipers or will any brand of 180mm/160mm work fine?
...and by [b]any[/b] i mean [b]cheaper[/b] 8)
Most will work fine, have heard some very good reports on Aztec & Ashima rotors.
I run genuine shimano ones, but thats just because it's what I've got
ashima are very good ive heard i run hope myself
Personally, i'd stick with Shimano(running some with my Hopes too), they're usually round and straight, which can't always be said of other brands.
I've tried Shimano (XT), but I'm much happier with Hope floating rotors, the pads seem to last longer too (XTR calipers BTW).
