Hi anyone have any experience of these looking for new wheels for around 250/300 Mark and these seem to be excellent value.

Bought a second hand set for my XC hardtail. They are decent enough really. Not lightweight, but not too burly. Hubs seem good considering they are pawls rather than the ratchet setup.

They are basically a decent, cheap wheelset.

There’s a set of brand new e1700 on eBay for £300 or offers(not mine!). I’d get those instead.

I have a set on my ebike.

i weigh 130kg, plus 20kg ebike.

plus c10kg camping gear.

i’ve only done about 1k miles on them so far, but they are still perfectly true, with perfectly smooth bearings etc.

my wife has the same hubs with narrower rims on her ebike, they sre fine too.

i would buy again.

i have a set of hopes on my surly, they are perfect too.

i’m not (historically) hard on wheels though.

Not much difference between the DT Swiss and Hope wheels to be honest. I'd go Hope if you want coloured hubs 🙂
