Does anyone know if it’s possible to replace the rim on a DT Swiss E1700 wheel? Had a big crash today and twisted/cracked it. I can’t find anything online 😬
I think from a bit of googling its a EX471 rim.
E1700 has eyelets so it'd be the sleeved rims..E512 or E332
However the sleeved and welded are within 2mm ERD so either will build up fine without new spokes.
512 for 2017.. 2018 gave a wider 30mm inner option, so E512 for 25mm inner (2017/2018) and E332 for 2018 30mm.
DT techbook also gives same ERD for EX and E when factoring the included PHR washers in the better EX rims.
Thanks both, looks like its going to be a costly crash! My inner bike tart is struggling with the thought of non matching rims so might be a good opportunity to upgrade to wider rims front and back
TF Tuned are the warranty/service guys for DT and can rebuild your wheel with the stock rim if you want a matching rim.
