Due to Eyjafjallajoekul's impact on aviation I spent the weekend in the South West of Scotland rather than the South East of England. Every volcanic ash cloud has a silver lining I suppose ๐Ÿ˜‰

Went for a play at Drumlanrig this morning and was absolutley blown away. Fantastic tight rooty trails that reminded me why I first got into mountain biking.

Hats off to Rik for the damn fine trails. Great showers and bike shop too. Quite impressed with Buccleuch Estates for changing my impression of them a wee bit. I don't think they were as happy about me having fun on my bike on their land in the early nineties, but it's good to see that they have progressed. I suppose it might help that I was paying for the privilege today. ๐Ÿ™‚

A fiver well spent and definitely worth a visit.

One of my favourite places. Great riding in beautiful surroundings, how much better does it get?
