Just watched the news and was a bit gobsmacked that there was a drought alert .
Could some of you lot in the dry areas please have some of our (in the north wests ) rain please we dont really need this much
Well we had a bit of rain over the last couple of days here on the South Coast.
It was quite welcome as a lot of the more heavily used bits of singletrack were turning to dust in the braking areas.
Not enough to refill my water butts at home though 🙁
They waffled on about the drought on the news today now its pi55in down in north yorks 🙁
I wanted to setup my shock too 🙄
Apparently officially a drought at home (northants) currently sitting inside looking out at the secon big thunderstorm + heavy rain spell of the week! no drought here...
(hoping its not too wet for a ride tomorrow though!)
The issue for droughts will be if it doesn't rain in the late summer and autumn, the south will be properly f@@ked then.
Too many people in the south doesn't help matters
