My mate recently bought an orange alpine, we went riding the weekend and his bike is fitted with a rock shox reverb, every time I was having to stop and lower my seat on a downhill and then get off and put it back up when just normal riding. It never bothered me before until I had a go on his and was blown away, a great bit of kit but....pricey. I have seen an alternative in the maverick speedball, are these any good or is there ny other cheaper options I could get a similar effect from?

this has been debated about twice a week 🙂

All have had some reliability issues so new with warranty is good.

From what I recall the Maverick Speedball is v old then became the CB Joplin. Questionable reliability.

Metal Tube with Spring - Gravity Dropper Variants
Work, limited drop points (1 or 2 not infinite) can be serviced at home.

CB Kronlog - avoid

Reverb or KS
Infinite adjustment, well used and liked. Good warranty backup.
