i would like a dropper post on my three bikes. i however am stretching the wallet to get one let alone three.
So i have a orange 5 with a 27.2 and titus with a 30. something and a comeencal with a 31
so my thoughts are to get a hilo @ 27.2 and shim in the bigger tubes..
however i am realy unsure on the shim in carbon frame, anyone have any thoughts?

Get a USE thermoplastic one - cheap and grippy 🙂

in what sense?
The shim makes it like you are putting in a post of the correct size.
It will work whatever frame material you shim.
Whether you can clamp steel tighter than carbon or ali is another question.
